About Paul Ransome

I’m a level 3 personal trainer, level 2 British Triathlon Coach GB age group triathlete and a husband and father of 2 young children (obviously I’ve done this in reverse order). I’ve been working in the leisure industry for 15 years 9 of which have been on the front line helping people achieve their goals. I founded Vibe Fitness in 2009 as a small Power Plate Studio and with the help of my business partners have grown the business into an award winning personal training service, group training facility and triathlon club.

I expanded Vibe Fitness in 2011 by opening up a functional training studio in Miles Court, Widcombe allowing me to run small group training sessions, exercise classes and more varied personal training sessions. At the beginning of 2012 I joined forces with Simon Ridley to take the business forward and in the space of 6 month we had 2 studios running, a successful exercise class in Urban Training Systems running 6 times per week and a wider range of services being offered by our studio. We now have Joey in the team and have branched out into the world of triathlon with our own club ‘Urban Endurance’.

 

I’ve always been a keen sportsman and always had to represent as many teams as I was good enough to be part of in my school days. I was lucky enough to have represented my county (Dorset & Wilts) in rugby and played a good standard of club rugby and football. Since 2010 I have been focusing on endurance events including the Brighton and London Marathons. I then bought a road bike and became addicted to cycling as my rugby players quads (BIG) suited it nicely. This led to my first triathlon in 2013 at the BOA olympic distance triathlon which was a real eye opener. Since then I have completed several half ironman races, Ironman UK and represented my age group for Team GB at the ETU Long distance championships at Challenge Weymouth in 2015 coming in second place winning the silver medal.

 

My next goals are to Compete for Great Britain at the ETU middle distance championships in Austria in 2016 and then attempt to qualify for the Ironman world championships in Kona for 2017.

 

I’m a firm believer in the saying ‘Make It Happen’ many of us in life wait around for thing s to happen or things to fall into our lap. We then find out that we are waiting a very long time and give up waiting. My goal is to help my clients see their potential then help them achieve this through planned and focused nutrition and exercise programs, helping them to ‘Make It Happen’
