About Simon Ridley

It started when Simon was at secondary school, he applied to work at his local leisure centre in Jersey and took a particular interest in the Gym. Learning ropes of the industry Simon was keen to add his training in tennis, which he played county level. He then went on to study his Level 2 qualification at 17 and started working part time in the gym and pool facilities as a lifeguard. Studying Leisure and Tourism for 2 years, put him in a position of learning all about the industry as well as working in it.

1 year working full time,he then went travelling around Australia which built some well needed life skills, at this time it gave him the opportunity to think about his future career. He came back to the mainland and having family contacts in Bath began working casually, in mind that he wanted to work full time in the fitness industry.


2001 Bath Sports Centre revamp, got him a full time Job working in the gym as an instructor, 2005 he past his Level 3 and his diploma in Personal training gradually working his way up to become the lead personal trainer 2006 with a long list of clients.


2008-11 was all about putting plans in place to starting his own business starting up BSLC Boot Camp, working for BMI Health care and becoming a co/ founder of Fitedia an online Ebook Health and Fitness resource site, he soon realised that he thrived on working under his own terms. At this point in 2012 he made the jump to starting his own personal training business at this point meeting Paul. A few months had past and many discussions later Simon and Paul decided to pool their businesses together to provide Vibe Fitness Bath.

Training Experiences

Simon has worked with clients in rehabilitation, working alongside physiotherapists at BMI healthcare specialising in Lower back and knee rehab programming. He has worked with clients that have achieved many fitness challenges from Triple Ironman and sailing around the world to 5km Runs and dropping dress sizes. Itʼs all in the planning and realistic programming says Simon ʻstepping out of that comfort zone and testing the water so to speak. Simonʼs experiences and knowledge mould him into the trainer that will aid you in sustaining lasting change.
